The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne and St Michael’s Uniting Church, 120 Collins Street, Melbourne invite you to attend The Second Annual Interfaith Prayer Ceremony for the work of the United Nations, Tuesday, October 24, 2006, United Nations Day, 6:00pm – 7:15pm at St Michael’s Uniting Church, Corner, Collins and Russell Streets, Melbourne.

Religious and Spiritual Leaders will come together to offer blessings and prayers for the United Nations community, who share the high principles of the Preamble to the Charter of the UN with the world’s religious and spiritual traditions.

The newly elected President of the 61st Session of the General Assembly, H.E. Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa, will be addressing the ceremony in an exclusive pre-recorded interview. Her Excellency is the third woman and the first Muslim in the history of the UN to be elected as President.
