Melbournians have a brief and rare opportunity to glimpse the 1000 sacred relics, or the pearl-like crystals, that were found in the cremation ashes of great Buddhist masters from Burma, Thailand, Tibet, India, Korea and Taiwan.

maitreya-relicThe Maitreya Project Relics Tour which will be on show at The Koorie Heritage Trust, 295 King Street Melbourne (on the corner of Little Lonsdale street) on June 4, 5 and 6, also includes eight relics from Shakyamuni Buddha that were donated to the touring exhibition by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Thousands of people have attended exhibitions of these relics across the world, and people often report experiences of inspiration and healing.

Entrance to the exhibition is free and any donations will go to benefiting statue building and health care projects in some of the poorest regions of India.
